Chapter History

The Zeta Beta chapter of ZTA was installed on September 18th of 1964 when Zeta Tau Alpha absorbed the national sorority of Beta Sigma Omicron. It formed the 123rd link in the Zeta Tau Alpha Chain of Chapters.

For years, Zeta Beta has placed a high level of importance on grades and the education they receive at Thiel College. This has helped us become a group with the highest GPA on campus and has won multiple Academic Achievement awards.

Zeta Beta ZTA was also named Chapter of the Year at Thiel College Greek Life Awards for the 2011-2012 school year. Our chapter also won the Greek Life Incentive Program for the 2013-2014 school year, giving us the title of Chapter of the Year.

For the 2012-2013, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 school years, Zeta Tau Alpha's National Council has given Zeta Beta the title of Crown Chapter, an award given to chapters who meet the standards of chapter excellence.

Zeta Beta won the Spirit Award in the 2014 as well as the 2015 Greek Week games for showing the most spirit during the week! They were also crowned Greek Week Champions in 2015!
